Sand Hutton Hudson Carriage

Built in 1924, this model is a representation of the 1924 carriage as delivered to the railway by Robert Hudson Ltd of Leeds. A long (31ft 3in) and narrow (4ft 9in) carriage built for the 18 inch SHLR. Later rescued and converted to 2ft gauge by the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway in 1967 where it resides today awaiting restoration.

A fine carriage with a dropped well central compartment with a private saloon with six free chairs at one end and an open compartment at the other. Both compartments were fitted with side bench seats for 30.

This 16 mm model kit is a scaled representation of the 1924 carriage, it includes all the seating and interiors, the drop down floors, elliptical roof, opening doors, balcony ironwork, etc. The bogies have been modified to allow tight curves to be negotiated, e.g. a peco small radius turn out or less.

Carriage is 496 over headstocks, 80 wide body, 96 mm with steps. Available in 32 mm only. Model cut to order, please allow up to 2 weeks for deliver.
