Working With Frets

Step 1 Preparation

Frets are useful to add detail to a model. Often they are best painted on the fret before cutting out. I prefer the use of rattle cans t make life easy.

Step 2 Cutting out & Adding

The frets are generally laid out in the order / placement on the model. They are tabbed and are easily cut out with a sharp knife and board. The a pair of tweezers and some thick superglue is ideal for adding them to a model.

Note if you are using something like a wood wax it is often better to add the fret first then wax over it to ensure that it sticks.
