Bamboo vs Birch Ply

Introducing Bamboo Veneer as an option for a number of carriage kits. This 3 ply 1.5 mm natural bamboo veneer is used on the sides and ends, both inside and out together with any compartment partitions, the rest of the kit remains unchanged (e.g. roof, floor, fittings, etc.). An alternative to the usual birch plywood, it has a nice grain structure and warm colour that resembles teak. Its a natural product that has properties that are very similar to that of birch ply and can be sanded, stained*, painted*, glued and cut, etc. in the usual manner. It takes laser detailing very well and in many ways it requires less finishing as a simple spray lacquer or varnish will suffice to protect the natural colour and texture.
